Lebanon stamps. 1925, album of Vaugirard Printing house in Paris (285x342mm), coated with marbled paper, containing thirteen pages in perforated cardboard with 528 color proofs stamps of Grand Liban and Syria. All values are in “Latin” only: Mouktara type 1.25P, Beyrouth type 25P, Zahle type 2P, Alep type 10P and Syrian Tax due type 0.50P. They were prepared by Helio Vaugirard print house, from painter drawings Joseph de la Neziere, to test design and colors. All come direct from them specific matrix plate, with the stamps cut out and mounted on the perforated cardboard. Incredible painstaking work which results in a superb color palette for each page. OF GREAT AND PLEASANT BEAUTY THIS RARITY OF FIRST MAGNITUDE.
