Forwarding Agent/4d Post. 1839 (Dec 16) Entire letter to London written on the "Pauline" off Cowes, collected form the ship and posted by the forwarding agent William Stuart Day, with superb oval "FORWARDED / BY / WM STUART DAY" on the upper flap, Cowes and London c.d.s, charged 4d. Light file folds and small tear at top but an exceptional use of this scarce F.A.C during the Uniform 4d Post period. Photo on Page 255.
