Wartime outbound civilian mail: Sept-Oct 1939 comm cv on Etz Hayim Yeshiva stationary ex JERUSALEM to SILUTE "Lithuania", missing frank which removed; as of 23-03-39 locale part of German-annexed Memelland (not Lithuania), hence processed by Wehrmacht censors; b/s 30.10.39 KONIGSBURG transit (cachet on front) & next day HEYDEKRUG (Silute) arr. - but as address unknown, label applied & returned in spite of WWII(!); censor-inspected in Palestine & stamped "undelivered". Cv marked "return postage guaranteed" but possibly unpaid as unfranked & still sealed; frayed edges. Rare handling.
