-Papillon de Metz daté "Metz le 22 septembre 1870 au Quartier Général du 6ème Corps" pour Gisors par le 5ème ballon avec càd d'arrivée Gisors 08.10.70 et 09.10.70, TB, les papillons avec càd d'arrivée sont rarissimes
- Ballon monté LE VICTOR HUGO de Paris 17.10.70 pour Clermont Ferrand avec càd d'arrivée 22.10.70 avec superbe texte confirmant l'arrivée d'un papillon de Metz dans Paris le 15.10.70 et demandant une réponse par la Correspondance Générale, Hotel de l'Univers à Tours, très rare
- Lettre d'Autriche du 14.10.70 écrite par un Suisse "Je me trouve accidentellement avoir sous les yeux un billet qui renfermé d'un ballon capturé à Metz a été envoyé comme curiosité à une famille dans laquelle je me trouve...Je me porte très bien. je vous salue affectueusement. Sous-Metz 1 Octobre 1870 Sign Bauer pasteur. Monsieur Frédéric Braun, négociant, rue de l'Horticulture, Mulhouse (Haut Rhin)" etc."
- Lettre de Metz 31.10.70 pour Périgueux avec PD rouge et marque prussienne rouge, au dos càd d'arrivée 09.11.70

- Flimsy from Metz dated "Metz 22nd September 1870 at the General Quarters of the 6th Corps" to Gisors by the 5th balloon with Gisors 8.10.70 & 9.10.70 arrivals, very fine and rare with arrival cds
- Ballon Monté LE VICTOR HUGO from Paris 17.10.70 to Clermont Ferrand with 22.10.70 arrival cds with superb text confirming the arrival of a flimsy from Metz in Paris 15.10.70 and asking for a response by correspondence, Hotel de l'Univers to Tours, very rare
- Cover from Austria 14.10.70 written by a Swiss "I am reading a message sent by a balloon from Metz, captured and sent as curiosity to the family who host me presently"...
