French China 1903/04: 'PACKHOI' in French and Chinese in black on 50 c. rose, of vibrant colour, used on a registered cover, Pak-Hoi to Bregenz, Austria, dated 9 August 1913, tied by a 'PAK-HOI-CHINE' double circle cds in black with an additional strike alongside. To the reverse a Tonkin datestamp (Aug ?, 13), a Genoa and Milan transit marks (Sept 16) all in black. Soiling and minor imperfections, otherwise fine . A very rare stamp on cover. This being the the scarcest of the 1903/04 issues. cert. Bach (2015).
