Mombasa Provisionals 1891 (Feb): Provisional "½ Anna" in manuscript on watermarked 2 a. vermilion, a used example from top of sheet countersigned "AB" (Archibald Brown, chief cashier of the Imperial British East Africa Co.) in black ink at Lamu, of fine colour and very fine, unused without gum. The manuscript surcharge applied for the "Lamu" issue is substantially different especially in the thickness of the nib. A fine example of an extremely stamp. Signed A. Diena. Cert.
