1901, Imperial Chinese Post postal stationery card 1 c rose despatched from PEKING APR. 4 1901 北京郵政局 as postage-free Field postcard with additional German language Boxed cancel PEKING KAISERPALAST ( = 紫禁城). German military boxed cachet "S.B. 1/1. Oa. I.R" to verify postage-free status. KAISERPALAST cancel in Type I (small size, 6 x 2.5 cm) in black ink is considered the ultimate (and at that time most popular) souvenir of the successful conquer of the Chinese capital Beijing. The postcard shows extensive hand-written message in both pencil and ink, mailed to Koblenz (Germany). Accompanied by BPP expert's certificate of authenticity (2000)
