Scott No. 43 var.; Estimate $3,000 - 4,000.
AN EXTREMELY RARE IMPERFORATE VARIETY OF THE 1857-60 10¢ REPRINT ISSUE.
A footnote is the only reference made by the Scott catalog regarding this issue. It states that the issue exist imperforate and that very infrequent sales preclude establishing a value at this time. They do mention the famous Dale-Lichtenstein margin pair set that sold for $110,000 in a 2009 auction sale. Also a strip of three of 12¢ issue imperforate is also recorded.
