Egypt, French letter written on 22/3/1717 by trader Laure Le Bourbon in ALEXANDRIA sent to Thomas Boyer in Marseille using Captain Reinaud's ship. The letter, naturally unaddressed, was posted in the ship's mailbox and delivered to Mr. Boyer, the shipowner. The letter contains information on the coffee trade. Clear transcription in French added. NICE AND RARE.

Egypt, promissory note issued in Al Kirsah near Tanta and sent via Cairo and Suez to Mecca Saudi Arabia on 15/3/1857. The letter was sealed with string and sealing wax and transported using the postal system established by Mohamed Ali along the Nile. Most likely was forwarded from Suez to Jeddah using a ship of the Egyptian company Khedivial and from there by overland to Mecca. VERY RARE EARLY SAUDI INCOMING MAIL.
