[Franklin Seaver] Pratt, then serving as Registrar of Public Accounts, apparently an English translation of an attached two-page manuscript letter, this in Hawaiian, also signed John Kapina and F.S....

1883 (May 18), manuscript receipt, datelined Honolulu, regarding payment of rent of $300, signed on behalf of H.H. R. Keelikolani [Princess Luka Ruth Ke'elikōlani], one of the largest landowners in Hawaii, and long-time Governor of the Island of Hawaii, filing folds and tear through part of message, a scarce letter, dated only days before Princess Keelikolani’s death.

McKinley”, on Consul-General letterhead, datelined San Francisco, to Santa Cruz, regarding “mail for the young Princess David,” noting that it was to be sent “by the Australia, which sails for Honolulu on the 11th,” filing folds, a scarce letter from David Allison McKinley, Consul-General of Hawaii and brother of President William McKinley.
