Great Western. 1846 Entire sent from London to Cheltenham by rail, the reverse with a large blue parcel stamp. The entire then readdressed back to Woods Hotel in London and posted at Cheltenham prepaid 2d in cash. A very unusual and scarce early railway letter, carried as a parcel.

Midland. 1905-06 Ewen covers all with KEVII 1d and a 2d letter stamp with both stamps tied by London N.W machine (3, one with "BAILDON" station handstamp at upper left) or by a Birmingham c.d.s, another with the 2d letter stamp cancelled violet "SCOTBY" with the KEVII 1d tied Carlisle c.d.s. (5).

Jersey. 1904 and 1907 Picture postcards with French stamps cancelled boxed "JERSEY / FRANCE / M.B" datestamp and handstamped "PAQUEBOT" (the 1904 card very fine, the 1907 card with a few faults); 1906 card posted from Paris to Jersey, the French stamps strangely with a "PAQUEBOT" handstamp applied across them despite the fact the card was not posted at sea; and 1907 postcard of Jersey with G.B 1⁄2d pair tied by St. Malo c.d.s, a fine "ANG. B.M / SAINT-MALO" c.d.s alongside. (4).

A fine study, main strength in the P.O.S.B machine marks and slogans, in an F.G album. (135 covers + 117 pieces).
