RUSSIA - Greece, 1865 (Feb.), letter via the Austrian Post, franked with single 30 kop Arms issue (Sc 10, perf 12 1/2), prepaying the single weight letter rate to Greece via the Austrian Post. Stamp tied by TAGANROG c.d.s. and front shows circular FRANCO handstamp. On arrival in Greece, an additional 50 lepta postage due was required, signified by the application of the 10 lepta and 40 lepta Large Hermes Heads of the Consecutive Athens printings (Sc 19,21), all tied by arrival c.d.s.'s. The reverse shows a triangular ODESSA transit c.d.s.

At reverse Russian P.O. at Constantinople, Odessa Tiflis and Tabriz transits. A Very Fine and rare registered letter from Russian Levant to a scarce destination.

ALBANIA, 1915, commercial cover sent from Mollas, via Elbasan to Tirana, correctly franked with a single 40pa blue, tied by Mollas departure (applied by hand), with Elbasan transit (both Gregorian calendar 18.11.15), also with another transit (5.11) and arrival (7.11, both Julian calendar) on reverse. During this period, the Serbian Post cooperated with Essad's post and both the Gregorian and Julian calendars were used alongside (they were 13 days apart in 1915), minor cover flaws, Fine, with 2008 Otto Graf certificate.
