1868 (August 10): Cover to Alpen, by Leiden, franked with two 1861 1 d. blue, single 1866 1 s. black each cancelled with 1 "bootheel" of Bridgetown, London PAID cds (11 Aug) transit on front, alongside "5" in red manuscript, Barbados backstamp (25 Jul) and red Alpen receiver, adhesives with faults due to being affixed partially over the top of envelope, repaired tears to cover, but a rare franking, one of only a small number of Britannia covers recorded to the Netherlands.

1882/86: 5 s. bistre, a single example used on 1894 registered cover to Baden-Baden, Germany tied by neat strike of 'Barbados' cds (Jan 25) in black. Registered label at left and reverse with Baden-Baden arrival cds (Feb 8). Small corner fault to envelope at top left but rare.

1934/47: Postage Due 1 d. black, a diagonally bisected example on underpaid 1935 cover mailed with pair of 1924 ¼ d. brown to the GPO in Barbados, tied by "Barbados / GPO" cds (Feb 2) in black, with manuscript "½ d." in black ink on the bisect. A most appealing and very rare cover Gi = £ 2'250.

1852-1952: Extensve collection presented within three large albums containing mostly specilaised unused stamps with a selection of used and some covers. Whilst the assembly predominately displays singles there are a number of multiples and blocks such as 1861 6 d. dull orange printed on un-watermarked paper, rough perf. 14-16 (Gi 32) unused in a block of 12 with large part original gum and hinge only to the top three stamps (cert. RPSL). Many of the early unused are of vibrant fresh appearance and in most cases with part or large part og. In addition there are complete sets (18) some of which are Specimens, there is also an 1852 Die Proof printed in black on thick white paper. Condition is generally fine with the odd imperfection or fault as would be expected particularly on the early issues, although overall a fine accumulation of choice items Scarce Gi = £ 21'770+.

Rough perforation 14 to 16 1861/70: (1 d.) pale blue, Plate II, rough perforation 14 to 16, an unused block of six (3 x 2), marginal from base of sheet and showing the centre line in margin confirming the Plate, unissued, variety "Imperforate", fresh and very fine, unused without gum as are all known examples. A rare and marvellously attractive multiple Gi = £ 2'400+.
