Auction 333-341 Nigeria, Cameroon, Sudan & Worldwide Postal History - Day 4

1852 (January 8): Cover to Amsterdam, franked with 5 baj. black on rose, large margins on three sides, top partially folded-over the cover, close but clear at foot, tied by black ANCONA straight-line with corresponding cds, transiting via Lombardy, Switzerland, Bavaria and Prussia, with Cologne (Jan 15) and Amsterdam (Jan 16) backstamps, a rare early usage to a foreign destination, sent little more than a week after the first day of issue.
