Mombasa Provisionals 1891 (Jan): Provisional "½ Anna" handstamped in dull violet on watermarked 2 a. vermilion, an unused example countersigned "AD" (Andrew Dick, chief accountant of the Imperial British East Africa Co.) in black ink, well centred and very fine, unused without gum. Just 6 examples recorded in unused condition, an exceptional example of a very rare stamp. Cert. BPA (2023) Gi = £ 11'000.
