Ballon monté 1870 (Oct 30): Entire letter carried on board of balloon no. 22 'Le Fulton' to London, franked with Napoléon laureated 30 c. dark-brown, a fresh and fine example, tied by light Étoile de Paris '12' numeral lozenge with Paris Bt. Beaumarchais despatch cds as well as framed PD in brownish red and "LONDON PAID NO 4 70" arrival cds in red alongside. A very attractive entire, cert. Longhi (2006).
