1863 cover from Varna to Genova via Constantinople, franked by two singles of French 'Napoleon' 40c. orange tied by large numeral "5103" in diamond of dots, with "VARNA/6 JUIL 63/TURQ. D'EUROPE" despatch cds, small boxed "PD" and French postal steamer h/s "PIROSCAFI/POSTALI/FRANCESI" in red on front, transit and arrival datestamps on the reverse. (Correct tariff of 80c. for a letter (up to 7½g.) 1.1.1861-31.12.1865)
