1979/83: An sumptuous and pompous volume containing a collection of stamps from the Republic of Togo, dedicated to the Norwegian King Olav V, beautifully presented. The front cover features a gold imprint: 'République Togolaise ALBUM PHILATÉLIQUE SOUVENIR, presented by His Excellency General Gnassingbé Eyadéma, Founder President of the Republic of Togo' this cover is in metal-clad corners.The title page includes a personal compliment: 'With my compliments, General Gnassingbé Eyadéma, Founder President of the R.P.T, President of the Republic.' and with a paraphe of Pres. Eaydema. According to sources, this magnificent presentation album, adorned with the Togolese arms on each page and gilded edges, was never presented beyond the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, due to restrictions on accepting gifts by the King of Norway. There are many stamps and souvenir sheets included, Some unused unmounted and some with first day cancellation. The entire album represents a unique curiosity!
