Austrian Post Office in Smirna 1884/1914: The Smyrna Postal History collection (70 covers/cards + 5 loose stamps/block), well written-up on leaves from 1883 issue covers and cards through to WWI, with 1883/88 usages to Bulgaria, Canada and Sweden, 1887 and 1897 Germany 10 pf. stationery cards used from Austrian P.O. with SMIRNE cds's (Tchilinghirian figs. 11 & K), 1888 onwards issues in Turkish currency with covers and cards showing nearly all SMYRNA or SMYRNA II circular datestamps (Tchilinghirian figs. 13 through to M4) with usages on cards, covers, registered usages, covers (2) handstamped "Deutsche Levante Line / Smyrna Agency", 1898 registered Express card usage to Weimar, destinations incl. Curacao, two superb 1900 Parcel Cards at 10 piastre and 21 piastre rates (this last example ex "Cihangir" collection), postcard with "KB" perfin usage, 1904 underpaid card to Italy taxed on arrival, 1907 Parcel Card to Trieste franked at 15 piastres etc. A remarkable collection in fine quality.
