Egypt Stationery 1906: 1 p. ultramarine envelope, overprinted in black "SOUDAN" in Arabic and French and "EXPRESS" (type II), used from Omdurman to Khartoum, dated 23 March1906, cancelled by "OMDURMAN" bridge type circular in black, with an additional strike alongside. To the reverse a faint Halfa datestamp 24 March 1906 and an Amri transit dated 27 March 1906. The arrival is indistinct. Slight soiling, although fine appearance. A very scarce example; one of four recorded used (H&G B6x). Comes with an unused example of the same.
