Rowland Hill Signature 1846 (Dec 21): Autographed letter-sheet (110 x 178mm.) written from the General Post Office, addressed to a Robert Shaw. The letter reads: "Sir, I have great pleasure in complying with your request and am, Sir, Your obedient Servant." with full "Rowland Hill" signature below. The letter was written at the time Rowland Hill had just returned to the GPO as Secretary to the Postmaster General. There are two contemporary horizontal folds. A fine and rare item.
