1890: Ministry of Marine stampless cover sent to Valparaiso, dated 1 August 1890, with very fine "MINISTERIO DE MARINA / SUB-SECRETARIA" ship cachet, with Santiago datestamp alongside, the backflap is printed "MINISTERIO DE MARINA / REPUBLICA DE CHILE", arrival 2 August 1890 in black to reverse; the sailing ship cachet was used to cancel the 1907 official stamps, very rare on cover.
