90 reis grey-black, Early Impression with first traces of wear, the famous block of nine and a single example from Second Composite plate, State B (positions 9-12/14-18), all used on piece and showing the vertical and horizontal marginal lines at right and at base, the lower left stamp with the vertical marginal line continuing 6 mm downwards. Overall toning and two positions with creasing and fault on position 16 of no importance; cancelled with six strikes of the framed "MARICA" handstamps (Ayres fig. 1356) in brown. Illustrated in Juchert's "Ochsenaugen im Viererblock" on page 66 and in "Bull's Eyes" by H. Bunselmeyer Ferreira on page 117. A fantastic rarity and Exhibition piece. Cert.
