1826-1963 small collection of 'FREE' h/stamps on covers, many pre-1900, includes a cover to Quebec, 'Registered', 'Too Late' and 'Unpaid 7' & 'Free' h/stamps, with 4 ring '51' cancel of Brockville. Later covers include House of Commons 'Free' post. (28 items), many written up on pages.

1830-51 undated circular town cancels on entires with manuscript dates 1830 Port Talbot, 1832 Port Erie, 1835 La Prairie, 1837 Brighton, 1843 Rawdon & Newborough, 1844 Otterville, 1846 Indiana & Princeton, 1848 Haldimand, 1850 Bristol, 1851 Bentick. A fine range of these cancels. (12)

1835-45 letters to Scotland (3), all with manuscript payment markings. 1835 Dundas (undated cancel) to Glasgow with m/s '6½ & 25', 1839 letter with 'Paid 18¾' & 'Paid 4½' and an 1845 letter that sailed on the 'Caledonia' from Halifax that has a 'PAID 1/2 Stg' & '1/4 Cy' in manuscript.

1837 (Apr 1) folded letter to London with a fine strike of the scarce 'PAID 7 & 25' h/stamp (7d across river Queenstown to Lewiston NY & 25c postage to New York), London 29.AP.1837 d/stamp is on the back & boxed 'LIVERPOOL/SHIP LETTER.'

1837 folded letter to London, with large double ring 'CITY of TORONTO OC.9.1837' cancel and with a fine strike of the scarce red 'PAID 7 & 25' h/stamp (7d across river Queenstown to Lewiston N.Y & 25c postage to New York), a boxed Liverpool Ship Letter h/stamp & 8.NO.1837 arrival cancel are on the back.

1839-66 folded letters (7) & two covers all from Montreal, written up on pages with an interesting range of cachets & d/stamps. Noted - 1839 to Ayr with Bristol Ship Letter h/stamp, 1866 cover to Holywell with good strike of the red '8d Stg PAID 10d Cy' h/stamp, 'Paid' instructional markings etc.

Accumulation of QV covers & cards, mainly postal stationery, many with Small Queen's Heads added. An interesting lot that needs careful study. (50+ covers).

1842-55 money letters - 1842 entire rated 2/9d from Queenstown (JAN 17) to Kingston, 1853 Strathburn to Quebec with 'PAID 8' & 'MONEY LETTER' in both red & black and 1855 Chatham to Quebec rated 6d. (3)

1844 & 1848 STEAM BOAT LETTERS (2), the 1844 from Quebec to Montreal with oval h/stamp & date (10 SEPT) inserted by hand. 1848 letter to Quebec has red circular Steam Boat Letter Montreal JU.1.1848 cancel.
