Chinese Local Posts (Chefoo), 1894 (19 May) "Memorandum" from the Local Post Office in Chefoo concerning a delivery of stamps and prices for postal stationery, signed by Amelia van Ess, the Local Postmistress; accompanied by the original 1894 registered envelope containing the Memorandum addressed to the Chief Officer of the "s.s. Rosetta" (corrected to "Assau") care of the P&O Agent in Shanghai (21.5), redirected to Bombay and then Aden, bearing 1c. and 5c., cancelled by "Local Post/Chefoo" c.d.s. (19.5), showing "Registered" unframed h.s. with "No 430" in red ink, wax seal of the "Local Post Office/Chefoo" on reverse.
