GERMAN OFFICES IN CHINA, 1911-12, magnificent, richly decorated photo album (beautiful inlaid work, inside gilt edges and div. colored pen drawings) to travel the "SMS NUREMBERG" from Shanghai 1911 with photographs from China and Jiaozhou Bay. The trip went via Japan to Apia/Samoa and then to German New Guinea, return via Port Arthur, where the replacement steamer SS "Patricia" arrived, The photographs (82 - mainly with ethnographically motives) contained mostly have postcard size and are of exceptionally good quality for that time. Exceptional object.
