1847, 10¢ black (2), four large balanced margins, neatly pen canceled on buff envelope to North Fairhaven, Mass. postmarked manuscript "Olive Grove Ga, Feby 18", docketed 1851 as "No 28" in the Swift correspondence (see below); wax seal stain in center, accompanying certificate notes "stamp with small faults at top right, a lightened stain at right and a small scissors cut in the margin at bottom right", none of which is really significant in our opinion, Fine, 02/18/51 in the Alexander Census.
