Recess by Perkins Bacon 1861 (April): 6 d. blue, wmk. Large Star, clean-cut perf. 14 to 16, a used example on 1861 cover to London, Goodman correspondence, cancelled in red. Reverse with oval framed "ST. HELENA" datestamp in red (Aug 31) and obverse with manuscript "5" British credit in red crayon. "London / Paid" transit (Sept 28) in red.
