1859: 10 gr. indigo and horizontal pair of 2 gr. blue-ultramarine, carta di Napoli, plate II, positions 3 and 83-84 of the respective plates, fresh and fine adhesives with fair to huge margins all round, tied by 'ferro di cavallo' handstamp to cover from Palermo to Genova. Despatch datestamp (March 14, 1859) and "VIA DI MARE (E)" handstamp in red alongside, reverse with arrival datestamp (March 22). Taxed with '15 cmi' handstamp for the Sardinian part of the journey.
