Austrian Lloyd P.O. in Beirut 1855 (May 7): Entire letter to the general consul of Sardinia in Alexandria, Egypt struck by perfect „AGENZIA DEL LLOYD AUSTRIACO / BERUTTI“ handstamp (Tranmer fig. 1). One backflap missing, nevertheless one of the most attractive strikes of the first Lloyd Beirut handstamp, the 'sunburst without sun'.
