FIRST SUNDAY IN MAY Pl.1a QF in a deep black shade, tied to 1840 (10 May) wrapper to London, good to very large margins and tied by a double strike of bright red MC. The reverse with faint Coventry 'MY10/1840' despatch d/stamp & London arrival (11 MY). There is a heavy vertical filing crease, tear at top and light soiling, the adhesive has tiny abrasion at edge of upper right corner star.
