BESONDERHEITEN - 1919 - FRENCH INTERVENTION FORCES IN SIBERIA: Stampless envelope (raughly opened with tears in backflap) addressed to Bordeaux endorsed 'Envoir de Roger Rene, Mission D'Aviation Militaire Francais / Pare 407, En Siberie - par B.C.M. Paris' cancelled by 'Mission Militaire Francaise en Siberie / Aeronautique / Le Vaguemestre' in blue on face with letters written on board "S.S. Sherman" on the Pacific dated '29th Jan 1919' with details of voyage having left San Francisco 6th Jan and Honolulu 13th Jan, Kobe 4th Feb'. The cover finally being mailed from Vladivostok (Siberia) le 20th Feb with letter headed 'National War Work Council of the / Young Men 's Christian Association' received in Paris '24th Avril' and forwarded to Bordeaux. Very scarce item from the French Detachment in Siberia with envelope and interesting letters inside. France only sent 800 men with the Intervention Force and very few from the Aeronautical Regiment.
