Guadeloupe. 1867 Entire letter to New Orleans bearing French Colonies 40c tied by a retta cancel with Pointe-a-Pitre c.d.s, then transferred to the British P.O paid 4d in cash, a reasonable strike of red "PAID / AT / GUADELOUPE" applied. Backstamped at the British Post Offices at Guadeloupe and St. Thomas, with "N.Y STEAMSHIP / 10" arrival c.d.s, an attractive entire. S.G. £2,000. Photo on Page 119.
