Ship Lost. 1940-41 Admiralty O.H.M.S covers to the Commanding Officers of H.M.S "Barham" (torpedoed off Egypt, 25 Nov. 1941), H.M.S "Grenade" (sunk at Dunkirk, 29 May 1940) or H.M.S "Gloucester" (sunk off Crete during the evacuation, 22 May 1941), all returned handstamped blue boxed "RECEIVED AFTER / LOSS OF SHIP / RETURN TO SENDER" (2) or violet "Ship lost".
