Worldwide Stamps and Postal History

1881-84 Printed pictorial wrappers posted within London with red 1⁄2d Paid datestamps, both with similar fancy borders and royal coat of arms in the upper right corner, the first printed in brown and headed "SPECIAL BOOK WRAPPER"; the second in green headed "SPECIAL POSTAL WRAPPER" with the initials G.C & Co printed below the coat of arms. A remarkable pair, the Special Book Wrapper the first example we have seen, the green Special Postal Wrapper sent to Baroness de Worms, wife of the famous philatelist. (2). Photo on Page 240.
