Slopers. 1870-82 1⁄2d Postcards with sloper punch cancels including clips of Manchester (5), unusual ‘pliers cut’ of Manchester, clip apparently used in London in 1882, arrows of Liverpool (8, with missing pins varieties, one an inverted cancel in the lower left corner), arrows of London (5, one with a double cancel), circular punch hole of Bradford (3) or Liverpool (3, one a very early use on 8 October 1870), also examples of the arrow cancel taken at 1950 P.H.S meeting (2), and c.1920 sloper advertising card bearing three perforated stamp size labels showing overprints (2) or a perfin.
