1881 Cover from Claremont, New Hampshire, to a Huguenot Seminary at Wellington, Cape of Good Hope, franked 1879 15c orange tied by a circle of bars, the Claremont c.d.s. alongside. Handstamped red "NEW YORK / 50" ‘binoculars’ type datestamp and a Wellington arrival c.d.s on the front, backstamped at London and Cape Town. A fine and attractive cover to an unusual destination.
