Worldwide Stamps and Postal History

Ethiopia - Gambeila. 1939 Official cover to the Ministry of Public Works in Cairo bearing 3m camel with "S.G." overprint, and a 1952 registered cover to Ada franked 4p, both tied by differing "GAMBEILA" datestamps, the 1952 cover also bearing a Gambeila registration label. Gambeila was in Ethiopia, but the Sudan postal authorities had a Post Office there from 1915 until 1956. Two fine and scarce covers.
