Worldwide Stamps and Postal History

c.1890 Piece bearing North Borneo 1886 perf 14 2c brown (S.G. 10) in combination with Straits Settlements 1882 8c orange both tied by a single complete strike of the very scarce intaglio "SILAM POST OFFICE / BN BORNEO" cancel containing a lion, in blue. A little gum staining and a horizontal fold below the stamps, otherwise fine, a remarkable and possibly unique item, the only such North Borneo/Straits combination from Silam of which we are aware.
