Dear collector, the catalogue for our 131th auction on 24th and 25th of May 2013 is online!
Auction includes a large section of philatelic with 9,000 single lots and collectionn, as well as selected numismatic items with more than 1,800 lots.

  • German states: great offer of Baden to Wuerttemberg with many cancel lots, covers, specialities etc. with among others Hannover with rare covers, Prussia with over 200 numeral obliterations and rare covers, Thurn & Taxis with „Muster ohne Werth“-cover  third weight level to the Papal States (12.000 EUR starting price)
  • German empire: extremely spread diversified supply with numerous rarities and colours, varieties, plate errors etc. – at this "Burg Rheinstein" with Reichsmark-currency - the rare not issued stamp as a not signed superb condition item (6,500), or the so called Hitler provisional stamp, Nothilfe souvenir sheet etc.,
  • German colonies/post office abroad: valuable supply with numerous mint never hinged issues, cancel lots, varieties and because of the dissolving of several specialized collections many forerunner on cover, pieces etc., many rarities and seldom items!
  • Occupation I. World War/Plebiscites/Danzig/Memel/Saar: interesting supply with numerous specialties and great raries, mint never hinged sets, stamps, varieties, watermarks, errors of overprint etc., with mint never hinged "Grosser Innendienst" of Danzig in faultless quality with a new certificate Dr. Oechsner "genuine and perfect."
  • IIth World War/Fieldpost: good supply with rarities, types, varities, sought-after standard issues etc., among others Montenegro Michel no. 19 in mint condition and with new certificate Brunel (impression only 1,000 copies) or e.g. Generalgouvernement Frank-stamp as a mint never hinged luxury item from top margin (starting price 1,500)
  • German local issues:  some hundred lots
  • West zones/Bund/Berlin: very good offer with hundreds of  varieties, sought-after initial issues, plate errors and unusual features, as well in the supply numerous country collections of all areas
  • SBZ/DDR: strongly differentiated supply with numerous variants, rarities like among others 66 Y mnh, 67 Y canceled, sought-after souvenir sheet variants, colours etc.
  • Europe: interesting supply with main emphases of France, Switzerland, Austria and Liechtenstein.

This auction brings to the market the largest and most comprehensive specialised collection of revenues since the Thill collection sold by Robson Lowe in the 1970s. The collection has won multiple prizes including three Large Gold medals awarded at London 2000, Madrid 2000 and Belgium 2001 for its exhibit of the ‘Revenues of the Kingdom of Portugal 1862–1910’. It has been described as “fifty years of collecting the best”.
