Stamps tied by VERVEY datestamps, and front shows black "PD" handstamp, red SUISSE / BELLEGARDE French entry, red manuscript "18" cent credit to the U.S., plus red PHILADELPHIA / PAID arrival c.d.s. and red "42" cent rate handstamp. Reverse bears LAUSANNE transit c.d.s. A very rare franking on an exceptional transatlantic cover.
