[Indian Territory] Fort Towson, excellent 31mm circular "FORT TOWSON Ark FEB 11" postmark and manuscript "25" on 1839 folded letter addressed to Boston Mass.; long three page letter in red ink has lightened with the passage of time; small tear at bottom left, Very Fine.
Estimate $300 - 400
Nice early usage from the Choctaw Nation of this marking which was first used in March 1838.
