New South Wales, 1850, Sydney View, 1d dull carmine, plate I re-engraved, yellowish paper, double impression (2 var.), the impressions about ½ mm apart vertically, light Dapto "24" barred oval cancel, large margins to just clear at upper right, F.-V.F. SG 8 var.; £375 for normal ($630).

In an attempt by the printer to save on the cost of paper, made a second, stronger impression over a weak one and came pretty close to lining the two up. Stamp paper was quite expensive and the printer would have had to pay out of pocket for any waste.
