1877: Liberty 10 c. brown, clear to large margins all round, used on 1879 cover to Modena, Italy tied by oval BOGOTÁ handstamp in black. Circular SAVANILLA French Consular datestamp in black (Salles fig. 1378) and carried on board the 'Washington' with octagonal French Paquebot SAVANILLA / PAQ. FR. A. No. 3 datestamp (March 29) in red (Salles fig 1418). Taxed on arrival as Colombia had yet to join UPU with Italian 1870 Postage Dues 40 c. pair and single 60 c. tied by 'Modena' datestamps (April 27).
