5 c. green in a horizontal pair and 20 c. brown used on 1876 cover from Lima to Rapallo, Genova, Italy endorsed 'via Alemana', tied by 'Lima/Principal' datestamps (June 27) in black. Carried under the Peru-German Postal Convention at single rate (Peru did not join the U.P.U. until April 1, 1879) of 29 centavos. Reverse with Genova arrival (Aug 3) datestamp in black.
