1855 (June 18): Cover, sensibly opened for Exhibit display, sent REGISTERED from an Officer in the 3rd Uhlan Regiment in Bucharest to Baden-Baden, bearing Austria 1850/54 9 kr. blue on front and two 3 kr. red on reverse (for registration); tied by fine strikes of K.K.FELDPOSTAMT No. 1 datestamps of BUCHAREST (Tchilinghirian fig. 712) in black, Baden arrival (June 27) on reverse. Tiny imperfections of no importance, a very rare and most appealing cover. THIS IS THE ONLY RECORDED REGISTERED K.K.FELDPOSTAMT No. 1 COVER and also the only one franked with 3 Kreuzer value (Tchilinghirian = RRR) as all the others show a standart 9 Kr single franking. CERTAINLY THE BEST EXISTING COVER WITH THIS POSTMARK. Catalog Price 7000.00
