1918, Resurrection of Poland, for the design of the 1st definitve issue of Poland an artist's competition was set in place. 32 artists were invited to hand in their proposals, which were issued in 4 booklets showing the artwork in the colours green, blue, brown and black (one colour for each booklet only). At the end of each booklet the 13 chosen designs were shown (those of the artists Bartlomiejczyk and Trojanowski). All these designs are showing the inscription "Krolestwo Polskie", since a kingdom was intended to be the form of governement of the prospective Polish state. This is the booklet with all essays in blue colour, only the pages with the 13 chosen designs are missing, some imperfections/ageing, overall in good acceptable condition. Very rare item!
