1941, Double Internee mail from an Italian in camp in "KOFFIEFONTEIN 1 NOV 41" (probably a sailor from SS TIMAVO) to his namsake (Brother?) on SS GERUSALEMME interneed at Laurencou Marques + travelling via AMBULANCIA. The TIMAVO and the GERUSALEMME received a signal that Italy would declare war and made a dash from Durban, The TIMAVO was bombed and returned to Durban. The GERUSALEMME reached Lourenco Marques and was interned, eventually becoming a hospital ship after Italians surrending, cover toned and damaged on top. Catalog Price 270.00
