SARAWAK - 1861 (16 October): Stampless cover, Kuching to Singapore, bearing the very rare "POST OFFICE/SARAWAK/(16/10/61)" double-ring handstamp (Proud PS1) plus date in m/s on front, and the scarce rectangular framed "SINGAPORE/Bearing" h/s & '4' (Annas to be collected = Sarawak-Singapore rate) in m/s on reverse. Recorded use from 1st February 1858 until 17th January 1865. The slightly stained cover was opened roughly remaining a tear through upper part of front and damaged back-flap, but nevertheless a scarce cover with RARE POSTMARKS.
