Porto Rico - San Juan. 1861 Entire letter from Arecibo to New York "via Jamaica" carried by forwarding agent to San Juan then posted at the British P.O prepaid 1/- in cash with red "PAID / AT / SAN JUAN PORTO RICO" and "STEAMSHIP / 10" arrival handstamp. Backstamped at San Juan and Kingston, Jamaica with "AMELL, JULIA & CA / ARECIBO P.R." and large part "VIAS Y COMPANIA / PUERTO RICO" F.A.Cs. Light file folds, otherwise fine, carried on the R.M.S.P "Solent" to Jamaica and then by U.S Steamship. S.G. £650. Photo on Page 121.
